Grainline Sewing Weekend with Jen Beemam
This retreat will be all about Grainline Studio pattern sewing! Jen has a lot of really beautiful, versatile patterns sure to fit seamlessly into your wardrobe! We’ll be tailoring the weekend to your needs based on the survey results of attendees and create a schedule of break out classes. Need help with sizing? Sewing a welt pocket? Moving a bust dart? Attaching a waistband? Jen can help you through it. You’ll be able to pop into demos or skip them and keep sewing away!
And since Laura & Allyson are all about knitting, we’ll have plenty of opportunity to knit and chill. There will also be one on one knitting class sign ups available if you’ve got knitting questions!
A $800 deposit reserves your spot! We will then work with you to get the accommodation you require

A luxury retreat in Southwest Michigan focused on helping your with your knitting project questions, teaching you some new skills and introducing you to dying yarn using natural pigments!

A Weekend of Knitting & Beginner Quilting in Scenic Western Michigan
Let’s do a little quilting!
In this new retreat theme, we will be teaching different beginner quilting techniques to help you get into this fun hobby! Laura and Allyson leaned into quilting as the pandemic hit and found so much comfort in everything from the planning to the binding. Incorporating quilting into their retreats seemed like a natural fit!
We will be teaching blocks at every level - so as long as you know how to use a sewing machine you’ll be able to participate in this retreat. We’ll also be incorporating hand stitching/quilting!
And BRING YOUR KNITTING! We’ll have plenty of time for chill knit nights, and even get your knitting questions answered.
There will be a limited amount of sewing machines available to rent so bringing your own sewing machine is encouraged!

A Weekend of Knitting in Scenic Western Michigan
Pick a sweater (or sweaters!) of your choice and get hands on instruction focused on exactly what you need for your project. Pick and choose from a full schedule of break out classes including understanding gauge, seaming, blocking, picking up stitches, cabling without a cable needle, brioche, short rows, steeking, colorwork, as well as specific one on one sessions about literally anything you want to learn about!
We plan the class schedule around your needs and ask guests what they need help with. We also have a sign up sheet available all weekend long for one on one classes with Allyson & Laura so you can get your specific questions about your project answered. And LOTS of knitting time to make progress!
